HobbyGM vs Crosslist

Crosslist creates a listing once and posts it to several marketplaces. It edits listings in bulk but has no card-specific checks, so a card seller who crosslists would still use HobbyGM on the eBay side.

Crosslist is a crosslister with AI listing from photos that lists to eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Grailed, Whatnot, Shopify and others. It suits resellers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia selling general goods on several marketplaces.

HobbyGM is a web app for eBay card stores. It connects to your store through eBay's official API, checks every listing each night, fixes titles and item specifics in bulk, and sends offers to watchers.

Where Crosslist is better

  • Listing on many marketplaces from one place.
  • AI listing drafts from a photo, for general goods.

Where HobbyGM is better

  • Nightly checks on every eBay listing for missing card item specifics, and titles that contradict them.
  • Prices compared with other sellers' current listings of the same card, rather than an AI suggestion.
  • Offers to eBay watchers, and margin after eBay fees and shipping.

Crosslist pricing

  • Bronze: $29.99/month, 200 new listings a month
  • Silver: $34.99/month, 500 new listings a month
  • Gold: $39.99/month, 1,000 new listings a month, sales analytics
  • Diamond: $44.99/month, unlimited new listings

Quarterly billing is 10% off and yearly is "2 months free". The AI add-on is $4.99 a month. New users get 3 days or 20 free listings.

What HobbyGM does

  • Checks every listing in your store each night: titles, item specifics, and cards with no watchers three weeks after listing. (how the checks work)
  • Fills missing item specifics from the title and adds missing search terms (parallel, print run, grade, team) to titles, in bulk, with review before anything is pushed to eBay.
  • Flags listings whose title and item specifics disagree: card number, season, print run, autograph, rookie, grade.
  • Compares each card's price with other sellers' current listings of the same card, matched on number, parallel, grade and print run.
  • Sends offers to watchers in bulk, or automatically each night by your rules, never below break-even.
  • Shows each listing's net margin after eBay fees, shipping and supplies, and flags cards that lose money or would ship cheaper by Standard Envelope. (fee calculator)
  • Reads per-listing traffic from eBay, so you can see which cards get seen and not clicked.
  • Covers sports cards, Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and non-sport cards.

HobbyGM doesn't scan or identify cards, create new listings, list on other marketplaces, or look up sold prices for your cards. It works on the eBay listings you already have, however you made them.
