HobbyGM vs Kronozio

Kronozio identifies cards, keeps the inventory and prepares eBay listings. HobbyGM starts once those listings are live: it checks each one every night and fixes what's missing or wrong.

Kronozio is an AI inventory manager for trading cards and other collectibles, with its own marketplace at kronozio.com and plans sized by how many cards you add and list on eBay each month. It suits card shops and high-volume sellers who want inventory, identification and eBay listing preparation in one place.

HobbyGM is a web app for eBay card stores. It connects to your store through eBay's official API, checks every listing each night, fixes titles and item specifics in bulk, and sends offers to watchers.

Where Kronozio is better

  • Identifying cards and building an inventory from scratch.
  • Selling on its own marketplace as well as eBay.
  • Scanner bundles for sellers setting up for volume.

Where HobbyGM is better

  • Finding listings with missing item specifics, or a title that disagrees with the specifics, after they've gone live.
  • Checking your prices against other sellers' current listings of the same card, matched on number, parallel, grade and print run.

Kronozio pricing

  • Paid plans: from $10/month, sized from about 500 to over 100,000 new items a month, billed monthly
  • Free trial: $0, 7 days, up to 50 items, no card needed

Kronozio publishes the starting price; each tier's price wasn't readable on its pricing page when we checked.

What Kronozio does

  • AI identifies each card, and you approve changes before they're final. (source)
  • Each plan lists its eBay capacity, eBay auctions per month, total inventory and exports. (source)
  • Scanner bundles (Cards2Cash) pair a Canon or Ricoh scanner with a year's license. (source)

Worth knowing

  • Kronozio's older Kronocard software is being migrated to Kronozio NEXT. (source)

What HobbyGM does

  • Checks every listing in your store each night: titles, item specifics, and cards with no watchers three weeks after listing. (how the checks work)
  • Fills missing item specifics from the title and adds missing search terms (parallel, print run, grade, team) to titles, in bulk, with review before anything is pushed to eBay.
  • Flags listings whose title and item specifics disagree: card number, season, print run, autograph, rookie, grade.
  • Compares each card's price with other sellers' current listings of the same card, matched on number, parallel, grade and print run.
  • Sends offers to watchers in bulk, or automatically each night by your rules, never below break-even.
  • Shows each listing's net margin after eBay fees, shipping and supplies, and flags cards that lose money or would ship cheaper by Standard Envelope. (fee calculator)
  • Reads per-listing traffic from eBay, so you can see which cards get seen and not clicked.
  • Covers sports cards, Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and non-sport cards.

HobbyGM doesn't scan or identify cards, create new listings, list on other marketplaces, or look up sold prices for your cards. It works on the eBay listings you already have, however you made them.
