What you get for the money: subgrades
Beckett's signature is four subgrades (centering, corners, edges and surface) on every card from Standard up. A BGS 9.5 with strong subgrades, or a rare Black Label 10, can sell for more than a PSA 10. For most cards, though, PSA slabs resell more easily: on eBay, PSA outnumbers BGS roughly eight to one among newly listed graded sports cards.
