Is PSA worth the higher price?

PSA is the most expensive of the big four at the entry level, but its slabs dominate resale: most graded cards listed on eBay are PSA, and buyers pay a premium for a PSA 10 over the same grade from most others. For a card whose value depends on the gem grade, the premium usually covers the fee. For a card worth $20–40 raw, the $59.99 Standard fee often doesn't make sense until the Value tiers return.
