What eBay Standard Envelope is

eBay Standard Envelope (ESE) lets US sellers mail low-value trading cards in a plain letter envelope with tracking, for a fraction of the cost of a package. eBay created it so a $2 card doesn't need a $5 label.

The rules

Raw cards only. Trading cards in eligible categories; graded cards are not allowed.
Value: $20 or less for a single-item order, $50 or less for a combined order.
Weight and size: up to 3 oz, 1/4 inch thick, and 11.5 × 6.125 inches.
Card count: up to 24 raw cards, fewer once they're in toploaders.
Flexible: the envelope has to bend enough to run through sorting machines. Rigid mailers get rejected.

How to pack a card for Standard Envelope

Put the card in a penny sleeve, then a toploader.
Seal the toploader in a team bag, or tape the opening with painter's tape.
Skip rigid cardboard or mailers: the envelope must still bend, or it gets pulled out as non-machinable.
Use a #10 envelope, print the eBay label, and weigh it. One card packed this way comes in around 1 oz.

When to use a package instead
